On March 4, the mobile RT-PCR testing laboratory jointly developed by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen Shineway Technology Co., Ltd., China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. and CMA Testing Center made its debut on the campus of HKUST. From now until March 8 (the specific testing location and time are subject to the school's notice), students and employees of HKUST can experience the on-site COVID-19 nucleic acid testing service provided by the mobile laboratory for free, and the test results will be issued within 2 hours to personal e-mail.

The mobile laboratory consists of reagent preparation area, sample processing area and amplification analysis area, and collocation with the world's leading microfluidic COVID-19 detection equipment. Compared with traditional laboratories, mobile testing laboratories have the characteristics of flexibility, rapid response, small floor area, safety and reliability. The laboratory is applicable to nursing homes, schools, companies, ports at all levels, grass-roots communities, villages and other areas. It has become a new generation of "sharp weapon" of the "epidemic" of scientific and technological war.
The mobile laboratory was established in strict accordance with ISO15190-P2 safety standard and successfully passed the biosafety certification of gb27421 mobile laboratory. The laboratory is equipped with graded gradient differential pressure, which can prevent cross infection of samples and ensure the safety of testers.
PCR Nucleic Acid Analyzer(SWM01) is currently the fastest gold standard nucleic acid detector in the mobile laboratory. Based on low power consumption, rapid heating and microfluidic chip technology, it can quickly diagnose New Coronavirus in 40 minutes, which is faster than the current PCR 2~3, and greatly accelerates the detection time. At the same time, the laboratory is equipped with automatic equipment such as automatic nucleic acid extraction system, which takes only about 1 hour from sampling to results, making the whole detection process safer, more accurate and faster.
